Gua Sha is one of the oldest forms of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It۪s a technique that was used in ancient times when somebody fell sick. Hands or stones were used to rub different parts of the body to promote healing. In the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), gua sha was systematically written into medical records. Gua Sha translates into scraping sand. This refers to the red petechiae that can sometimes be seen after a treatment.
Although currently very popular for facial gua sha treatments, this tool is more commonly used for body pain and relieving fever and colds. It can also be used gently on children for this purpose.
This tool is specifically designed to be used for both the body and the face.
stones are hand made with natural agate stones. Each one is unique and there is slight variation in each stone. Colours may appear differently in photos vs real life.
